Cooke Collegians v Ards Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 24 Jul 2010 at 12.00
Ards Cricket Club Lost by 97 runs

Match report League leaders Cooke Collegians proved too strong for a young and under strength Ards at Shaw's Bridge.
Batting first, the home team posted an imposing total of 254 for 6 in their 40 overs - the result of some wayward bowling, 10 men in the field for most of the innings and some poor fielding. The exception being a brilliant one-handed catch at extra cover by Aaron Culbert on his debut.
In reply, Ards got off to a great start with Jonathan Keenan (55) and Peter Ritchie(17)putting on over 80 for the first wicket. However the pressure of an ever increasing run rate proved too much for the visitors, despite 23 from Ian McLean and a rapid 19 from Sam Ingham. Some consolation can be taken from the fact that Ards only lost 5 wickets to a team which remains unbeaten and favourites for promotion.
